Barak-ttle Varr-ch

 I've been messing around on a Battle March (What's that?!) made up of Metal Dwarf Minis I've accumulated over the years. A lot of my messing with my own narrative head canon of the Old World is set in the Border Princes - that and some Fysh-y Mordheim Dwarf shields make the water comfortable Barak Varr an obvious choice. 

 

Initially the scheme got going with a couple of the above nodded to Mordheim Dwarf Treasure Hunters as tester models. I started using blending up a the Green-Blues of the miniatures, right up until I got some sense and plugged for some Terradon Turquoise for a black-grey priming. 

 

Currently the approach for the scheme is making getting tabletop ready feel like it's really manageable. The marvels of Contrast, right?

One thing I want to talk about around these miniatures, and the reason this simple "slap chop" approach works so well - is just the sheer amount of character in them. 

The whole concept of the army game play is to totally flip the castling in a corner approach of a standard army and to get piling in. Slayers and Gyrocopter racing forward and getting stuck in, while the Rangers block in the middle of things to shoot stuff up and receive a charge.

 

And as for the middle of things, there's one Battle March Scenario that I've got the perfect middle for them to get stuck into courtesy of the ever talented and overly kind @DoctorSpork@dice.camp.
